A Waurika police officer and a Jefferson County dispatcher face criminal charges after an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation review of a traffic stop conducted last September.

Tanner Faucett, 27, a Waurika police officer, is charged with one count of aggravated assault and battery. Bradly Gallaher, 20, a Jefferson County dispatcher, is charged with one count of feloniously pointing a firearm. Both are scheduled to appear in court May 5.

What OSBI says happened

Court documents state OSBI was called to investigate an official misconduct complaint referred by Waurika Police Chief Jimmy Gallaher. On Sept. 7, 2025, Faucett, Gallaher and a Waurika reserve officer conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 5 tied to a felony warrant.

According to the affidavit, the subject of the warrant exited the passenger side and was handcuffed after going limp. The reserve officer told investigators that Faucett motioned for him to turn off his body camera, and after the camera was off allegedly struck the man three times while accusing him of faking unconsciousness. Investigators reported finding a tooth in the subject’s jail cell that was determined to be his.

Separate firearm allegation

Review of body camera footage allegedly shows Gallaher, who is not a sworn officer, exiting a parked vehicle with a firearm pointed toward the truck at the center of the stop. The driver of the truck told investigators Gallaher placed the firearm between the door and windshield.

The City of Waurika confirmed it was aware of the arrests. All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
